Our purpose
Japan Vending Guide publishes independent English-language information about vending-machine culture and places travelers can visit in Japan. We aim to make every page useful, clear and honest about what has and has not been verified.
Location verification
A spot is labeled Verified only when a current official operator, venue or facility page supports its address. Each verified spot displays a review date and links to the official source and Google Maps. A historical photograph alone is not proof that a machine remains at the same location.
Products, prices and opening hours
Machine stock, prices, payment methods and access can change quickly. We date time-sensitive research, avoid promising that a particular item will be available and direct readers to the live machine or operator as the final authority.
Sources
We prefer first-party operator pages, official tourism information, manufacturer documentation and clearly licensed documentary photographs. When reliable confirmation is unavailable, we either omit the claim or label it as unverified.
Images and AI disclosure
Documentary photographs are credited with their source and license. AI-generated editorial images are labeled as visual introductions and are never presented as proof of a product, storefront or location. We do not use generated images to invent addresses or claim that a machine currently exists.
Corrections
Readers and operators can report an error through the Contact page. We review supporting evidence, update material errors promptly and revise the verification date when a location has been rechecked.
Commercial independence
Advertising, affiliate relationships and sponsored work do not determine our factual conclusions. Paid relationships will be clearly labeled, and commercial links will not replace verification.
Editorial responsibility
Articles and spot records are researched, edited and maintained by the Japan Vending Guide Editorial Team. The team is responsible for final publication decisions and periodic reviews.
