Terminal 1 options

Kansai International Airport's official directory lists several SIM vending services on the first floor of Terminal 1. Our directory currently covers the GLOBAL WiFi Central Counter and SIM vending location plus the separately listed JTB SIM vending machine. Always use the current airport floor map because counters and machines can move.

The 24-hour listing

The JTB SIM vending machine is listed as open 24 hours, making it relevant to late arrivals. A 24-hour machine is not the same as 24-hour human support: read the package, activation and refund terms before purchase, and use airport Wi-Fi if you need to confirm compatibility first.

Terminal 2 access

Terminal 2 also has an official GLOBAL WiFi SIM vending listing. Terminal 2 is physically separate from the Terminal 1 and rail-station area, with an inter-terminal shuttle used for transfers. Travelers arriving in Terminal 1 should not transfer only for a machine without comparing the options already available there.

What the machine cannot decide for you

A vending machine can sell a plan but cannot reliably determine whether a locked or incompatible phone will work. Check the device model, supported bands, SIM size, eSIM capability, data validity and tethering rules. If any point is unclear, a staffed counter or prearranged eSIM is usually safer.

A practical arrival sequence

Connect to official airport Wi-Fi, confirm your terminal and onward transport, compare the machine terms, then activate service before leaving the terminal. Keep screenshots and packaging until the connection works. Our spot pages link the official airport listing and a map query for each machine.
